Cornwall Energy launches new renewables publication - second complimentary issue available

Renewable Energy Digest is Cornwall Energy’s new monthly publication and is available on subscription from December. It is a digest of material Cornwall Energy regularly pulls together in the course of its work to inform and analyse the energy market and advise participants and stakeholders. Our focus here will be on policy development, regulatory action and industry governance primarily within the UK impacting on the renewables sector. More information and a second pilot edition are now available.

  • New report on competitiveness of market for distributed generation

    In December 2007, a joint Ofgem/Berr Distributed Energy (DE) Consultation document was published on initial options for introducing greater flexibility to the market, regulatory, and licensing arrangements for distributed low-carbon electricity. In June 2008, Ofgem published the follow-up consultation on these proposals. The report is accompanied by a review conducted by Professor Stephen Littlechild and Nigel Cornwall on the state of competition in the offtake market, which seems to be in broadly good health.
